Bob Zeller, president of the Center for Civil War Photography, will appear on Book TV on C-SPAN2 this Saturday to talk about his new book, The Blue and Gray in Black and White: A History of Civil War Photography. (Praeger, October, 2005).
The program will air at 5 p.m. EST on Saturday March 4.
Book TV producer Richard Hall taped Zeller's illustrated lecture on Feb. 2 at Civil War Life - The Soldier's Museum, in Fredericksburg. In the hour-long slide lecture, Zeller provided a brief overview on Civil War photography before putting the spotlight on the unsung achievements of the great Southern Civil War photographer, George S. Cook, who took the first combat action photographs in Charleston Harbor in 1863.
Bob lives in Trinity, N.C. with his wife, Ann, who is the town manager.
